Could you explain a little more about your position as Senior Account Manager?
My role is mainly focused on building strong client relationships to ensure they feel the value from what we’re doing and confidence in our campaign strategy, management and results.
Describe a typical working day for you as Senior Account Manager?
First things first – coffee! Then it will be focused on the following: assessing campaign performance, putting together reports to effectively communicate results and thoughts on campaigns to clients, discussing campaigns with Campaign Performance Managers to get deeper insight into performance and gain a more technical understanding of an account, catching up with clients – sometimes to chat about campaigns & business, sometimes purely to catch up and share news!
What made you go into digital marketing?
I have always been interested in marketing and the psychology behind it in terms of why some things appeal to people and some don’t. Digital adds an extra layer because with the sophisticated technology and tracking available to us today we can understand so much more about the online user journey and measure campaigns in far more detail to fully understand the return on advertising spend for a business.
Why do you like being a Senior Account Manager?
I love the variety that the role brings, both in terms of my work tasks and communicating with different people in a wide range of industries, sometimes even in different countries! While the role is people-focused and the most important element is about creating and maintaining strong relationships with clients, I enjoy the analytical side of understanding the data and finding solutions to any issues which may arise too.
What is your favourite PPC or SEO metric and why?
Other than “Conversions”, most probably “Search Impression Share” in PPC because it indicates how much of the market a given budget allows us to reach in a certain geographical area. It’s interesting to understand the percentage of people your ads are visible to.
What has been your favourite moment working at KMG?
There are so many, hard to choose just one! Being promoted to Senior Account Manager, KMG ski trips, poker night and our epic Christmas parties.
What are you excited about in digital at the moment?
With the current COVID-19 pandemic having a huge impact on the way we interact and the way businesses operate it is an interesting time to see how people adapt their online strategy or move to digital in a time when staying afloat as a business is more difficult than ever before. It’s even more satisfying to see small businesses thrive during this time.
If you didn’t work in digital, where would you work?
Difficult to see myself in a different field but I have daydreamed about owning a little art gallery in London, finding new artists which appeal to me and could appeal to others, or curating exhibitions at an art gallery in London.
Where do you see KMG in 10 years?
As one of the most recognised full-service performance marketing agencies in London with an excellent reputation for helping to grow small and large businesses.
What do you do in your free time?
I love exercising so perhaps running, a long walk or a group gym class. I am a big fan of the pub and a well-deserved glass of wine so meeting friends for a drink and food is certainly a great pastime of mine. Otherwise I’m painting at home or binging on the latest TV series.
Give us an interesting fact about one of your colleagues.
One of my colleagues is actually known as “uncle” in the office and looks after us like family.
And finally, in 3 words, how would your friends and family describe you?
Generous, funny and creative.
